Terms of service.
Ypsilingua aims to provide high quality language services, including online courses, to help its customers and students improve their language skills. We cannot guarantee specific outcomes from the courses because we have no control over the behaviour / learning habits of our students.
LANGUAGE SESSIONS / LESSONS / COURSES
1. Purchased Services / Courses / Language Sessions
a. Once a student / customer has completed a transaction online through the website, it will be assumed that they have read and agreed to our Terms of Service and have read what the course / service entails and includes. Any questions regarding the services or language course must be made before enrolment and / or purchase.
2. Refunds
a. Individual Sessions can be cancelled and refunded provided at least 24 hours notice is given in writing. Same day cancellations will not be accepted.
b. Blocks of Sessions. No refunds will be given once a block of sessions has commenced. If a student requests to cancel in writing at leat 48 hours in advance of there first session, the session can be re-scheduled or refunded as preferred.
3. Lateness
a. In-Person Sessions must start and end at the agreed / scheduled time. If a student is late arriving, they must understand that the session will still end at the agreed time and that any missed time will not be ‘made up’ elsewhere. It is the students’ responsibility to attend on time for ‘live’ / in-person Sessions.
b. Online Sessions must start and end at the agreed / scheduled time. If a student is late logging-in, they must understand that the session will still end at the agreed time and that any missed time will not be ‘made up’ elsewhere. It is the students’ responsibility to attend on time for online Sessions. The Ypsilingua tutor will always be available from the agreed start of the session.
4. Course Materials
a. Any physical course materials (notes, exercises, books etc.) given to the student become the responsibility of the student. Lost or damaged materials can be replaced at a fee as follows: 1 Euro per page.
b. The intellectual rights / copyright of all course materials remains with Ypsilingua. This includes printed matter as well as other media such as online images and text, recorded messages, video content etc. Under no circumstances must course material be reproduced or transferred to a third party.
